Actually, I had scheduled for an interview before noon at the Chapter Arts Centre, which is a brisk 50 minute walk away from where we live. Chapter is, by the way, a nice little quality joint for movies and all that – heartily recommended. So there I was, lugging my stuff around in what can only be described as a hot day. I mean the temperature must’ve been somewhere around +15 and +20 centigrades, which is plenty for me, considering it isn’t even April. My internal calendar just can’t handle stuff like this. I’m still living (and dressing) like it’s winter in Stalingrad.
But I digress. You see, Chapter was supposed to have a WLAN connection courtesy of Arwain, but obviously I had misread the map – or something. In the end it just meant that I had carried my laptop around me for something like ten kilometres and ended up with nothing more with a bit of exercise, which was anyhow quickly negated by the bag of liquorice I devoured at the cinema (went to see Rules of Attraction – not that bad but not very good either).
When we finally got home at five or so in the afternoon , I was completely knockered out. So after a quick look at the Guardian I just collapsed on the bed and had a nice 45 minute nap.
Yes, my weekends are exactly this dull. And sorry if the writing is too, just that the subject of me blogging in English came up during the interview and I felt kind of obliged to immediately write something. So I did. Yes. Well. Uhm. Now. I think I’m needed elsewhere.
