Went to see Live Forever, the wannabe documentary about Britpop at Chapter Arts Centre. It was entertaining but the documentary quotient was quite low. They had interviewed the people that mattered most (Gallaghers, Albarn, Cocker, some hacks) and a few who didn’t (someone from Sleeper and two gits from a neverheard Oasis tribute band).

The problem was that they’d only got a single interview from the people so the end result was more a livening up of what everybody already knew and not an unearthing of something new. Aside from that what came across quite strongly was the unbelievable (from my Finnish point of view) lack of self-confidence the British seem to have.

The verdict: You might want to save your money for the rental. Or the TV showing. Doesn’t really matter.
