Went to see Intacto with Dan last night. It was a surprise, and a pleasant one at that. The reviews here had billed it as a Spanish thriller, which was not quite true (well, apart from being Spanish, obviously).

I’m not going to bother explaining the plot, which is quite easy to pick up anyhow. What’s notable about the movie is its pace. I first said it’s slow but that’s not it; a better term would be moderate. There are some action sequences, and they work well. Most of the time it’s exposition and set-up but the atmosphere, the buildup, is there all along.

A thoroughly enjoyable movie.
